She waits at the door
She creeps in slowly with the ending of the day.
And pauses as she crosses the open door,
Hands open for a hug
She finds me with falling tears
on the floor, arms hugging my legs
She flows a little bit nearer
Pleading for me to come closer
I look at her through glazed eyes

It’s getting late.
Her shadow is reaching my feet
She wants to dry my tears, make them go away
Time is passing by
She's in my house…
She reaches slowly to me
And as she wraps me up in an embrace
All is calm…quiet…dark.
